Another year has past
And yet, this one, though only starting, won't last
Promises made, will they be kept or broken?
Will it be fun and cheerful, or depressing and hopeless

Will life be the same, or will it take a sudden turn
Will I sit here comely, or will my passion brightly burn
Nothing can be predicted for fear of the consiquences
And nothing will come of it

It's a tradition, nothing can seem to change it
So everyone break out that paper and sit
Think really hard and try and stick it out
Or totally forget it and let it slip away

A New Years Resolution, it's not much
It's not physically there, it's not something you can touch
But take it seriously and see what happens
To stick by my friends side, I'll put this to the test

Something so simple as this can be hard
But I'll try to keep hold of my cards
So wish me luck, and keep walkin' by
This is my New Years Resolution
