Brief history: Melanie had come from a long line of imps that protected the Irving family. A family of Dark Elves that infact, Emily's mother was a part of. Melanie was assigned to assist Lucille as her mistress since Lucille's birth. Before her was her mistress' mother and her mother's father. She usually held a strong, mother and child bond with them which hurt in the long run when they passed on.

Eventually there came a point in time where Lucille had met an elven man who sadly despised Dark Elves. Wanting to be with him, she had asked and pleaded with Melanie to help her. Melanie, not the one to refuse her masters, had did so, turning Lucille into an elven woman. Later Lucille and her husband had a daughter whom was also born Dark Elf but was quickly changed into an elven baby girl before her husband was to return to see them after labor.

Lucille had made Melanie swear to never inform the child that she was half Dark Elf. That it was bad enough she would have to live with a father who wanted a son. Melanie swore and was then on assigned to assist the little girl, growing fond and attatched rather quickly. Then suddenly was surprised with a young boy whom her former mistress' husband had set out to adopt.

He too had become a part of her. Sadly a year or two later, Lady Lucille had been murdered by only someone who Melanie had suspected knew she was a Dark Elf. Her husband distraught had left home for awhile, leaving the young siblings to Melanie to care for. Melanie raised and taught the two as if they were her own, feeling guilt as they had come to call her "mother" at times. She'd have to teach them that she wasn't, which hurt even more.

After long years, the children had grown up, one leaving to marry and have children while the other stayed heartbroken from the betrayal of a two-timing man. She had been told countless times by her mistress to move on with life, but she refuses to seton with her dream of marrying and having her own children until she sees her mistress and master are happy.
