Stripping all my clothes, I walk out onto the balcony and wait. I look up at the Moon and listen to the scilencing Night. I feel my mouth form into a snarl-like grin followed by a sudden clammy feeling that comes over my body. I feel my stomach cramp up and my teeth grow, my long shifted tounge scraping against my newly formed fangs. My thoughts turn into a massive jumble of the pained snarls i let out as my bones reshape. I close my eyes, to excited to watch the thick fir sprout quickly along my arms and legs. There is a loud crunching sound followed by a pop deep within me. Suddenly, my legs give in and I fall towards the ground only to catch myself with my front paws.

I open my eyes when I knew it was over. As I look around in my new body, my muscles quiver. I wanted to run and jump and play and howl so badly, it hurt. I dart into the forest and run as fast as i can. Jumping over fallen logs and splashing through the puddles when I could, I came towards the pond. I slow down to a trot and finally came to a stop when i smell the fresh water and see the fish swimming around. I slowly approach the bank, so afraid to know what i might see. I thought It was to good to be true, but when I see my reflection in the water, my heart swells with Pride. I was so happy and relieved and relaxed at the same time, I almost cried. I hold my head up high and let out a long, proud howl. This is me. My true self!
