The Tales of Two Gaians Part Three
AAH and Chrys had finally reached Virtual Hollywood after two long weeks.

"Are we there yet? I feel like I'm going to pass out," Chrys said, leaning heavily against a street lamp. AAH patted her back and pointed up the path. There stood a sign post that said 'Welcome to Virtual Hollywood'

"We're here. But...I don't see any of the Trolls Jose warned us about," AAH said.

A twig snapped and both Paladins turned to see a boy of about thirteen years of age wearing a Hawaiian shirt and grinning maliciously.

"Are you ladies lost?" he said, taking a sip of his tropical drink. AAH and Chrys shook their heads.

"Nah, we're here to help the people of this village and free them from the T-" AAH clamped her hand over Chrys's mouth.

sweatdrop "Eheh, don't mind her! We're just here for the club!" AAH said. Chrys struggled under AAH's hand. "Please excuse us!"

The boy watched them walk away and sneered. He pulled out a radio and spoke into it. "The little Paladins are here. Make sure to make them feel at home."

"Yah got it, Sir PAK," the voice over the radio said.

“AAH! Let me go!” Chrys said, disentangling herself from her companion’s grasp. “What’s gotten into you?”

“Chrys, we can’t trust anyone here. You have to be more careful,” AAH said, crossing her arms. She pointed over to the club they were supposed to be ‘checking out’. “We’ll start there.”

Her friend raised an eyebrow, “Duh, where else? Everyone ends up there sooner or later, right?” AAH rolled her eyes and started walking towards the club. “H-hey! Don’t leave me!”

“Then pick up your fe-”

“Look out!” the warning had come too late and AAH smacked headfirst into the bouncer.

“Owowow!” She held her nose and looked up. The bouncer didn’t look too happy.

“If you want in, you had better not make any trouble, you hear?” the man grumbled, before lifting the velvet rope so they could pass through. “If there’s trouble, we will have to remove you by force.”

Chrys nodded and grabbed AAH by her elbow before she could retaliate with a snarky comeback. Thanks for letting us know.”

Once inside the club, the two sat down to formulate their plan. The other club goers talked and pretty much ignored them, save for one who was sitting near the back, keeping his eyes on them.

“…-ssible. There is no way they’ll fall for that,” AAH said dismissively. Chrys huffed and crossed her arms defiantly. “What? You think opening up a sermon will lure them out?”

“You never know until you try, right?” Chrys said, fiddling with the hem of her sash.

“Try what?” a voice said behind them, causing both Paladins to freeze. They slowly turned around to face the King and a small army of Admins. “I have really lost patience with you both.”

“K-King Lan-Lanzer…what a…surprise!” Chrys said, slowly sliding further away from the King. “I didn’t expect you to…”

“Chrys! Stop chit-chatting and MOVE!” AAH yelled, pulling out her sword and pointing it at the King. “We left your kingdom long ago, Lanzer. Why is it that you pursue us like this?”

Chrys also pulled out her sword, but she was hesitant, “AAH, we should go. We’re outnumbered.” AAH glared at her friend.

“We didn’t come this far to give up so easily, you hear me?” She turned her gaze back at the King. “How did you find us?”

Lanzer smirked and stepped to the side, revealing the boy they had encountered earlier. “You can think this Troll here for informing us. Introduce yourself.”

The Troll snickered, “With pleasure, Your Highness.” He cleared his throat, “I am PAK, leader of the Azn Troll faction.”

“I knew there was something strange about you, brat,” AAH growled.

The King held up his hand, “Nevertheless,” he fished around his robes and threw a small coin-purse in PAK’s direction. “Consider any banished Trolls to be reinstated, PAK.” The Troll greedily counted his coins before sidling away. “As for you, ‘Paladins’, I’ll see to it that you are thrown into the dungeons! Admins! Seize them!”

The Admins surrounded the two girls and began closing in on them. Chrys quickly looked at AAH, “What should we do? I’m scared.”

“Don’t worry, we’ll figure this out, Chrys. I’m certain of it.”
