The Tales of Two Gaians Part Four
Last time, on TTOTG,

Lanzer has cornered AAH and Chrys in the Virtual Hollywood region with his army of Admins. This doesn’t look good for our Paladins! Does AAH have a plan? Or will they both be sentenced by the dreaded V&Hammer?!

Guest-Starring Alayah

“AAH, we won’t make it. We have to surrender,” Chrys said, lowering her sword as the Admins drew closer.

“Do you want me to recite that line from ‘Braveheart?”

“No…no, I’m good.” She raised her sword again.

“Still trying to be brave, even though you are heavily outnumbered?” Lanzer asked, lifting an eyebrow in amusement. He scratched his chin and pondered the situation. “I could dispose of you, but…you amuse me.”

“Sire?” one of the Admins asked, looking back at his employer. The King lifted his hand.

“Cease attack.” The Admins reluctantly lowered their V&Hammers and awaited for their King’s next orders. “You two, why is it that you commit such heresy in my kingdom?”

AAH sneered, “Not much of a kingdom if you have to enlist the help from the Trolls.” She snickered, “Out of all the nations, it had to be the Trolls. You could have enlisted the Chatterboxians. Though I’m sure you would have banished them before they’d have found us.”

“A-AAH? What’s wrong?” Chrys asked, slowly inching away from her friend. “You’re scaring me.”

“Nothing, nothing at all,” there was a glint in AAH’s eyes, and Chrys didn’t like it. “We really should end this fighting. Now.” AAH made as if she were going to lay her weapon down, but instead she made a quick swipe in an arc, taking out half the Admins. “Yes…this end here!” She advanced towards the king, but her wrist was caught by the bouncer. “Let me go, you oaf!”

“I warned you, didn’t I?” the bouncer grumbled. “Troublemakers are forcefully removed.” AAH narrowed her eyes.

“Oh yeah? Then do it. I dare you.”

“Wretched wench!” Lanzer snarled, wiping away the flecks of blood that had landed on his face. “I was thinking about pardoning you, but this has gone far enough!” He unsheathed a dagger that had been hidden inside his robes and advanced towards the caught Paladin.

Just as his hand was being brought down to kill her, his dagger met Chrys’s sword. “I won’t let you!” She parried against him and managed to push him back.

“So, the weak one finally grew a spine,” he sneered. Chrys said nothing, just tightened the grip on her sword.

“You. Bouncer. Let AAH go, I’ll pay any fee for her freedom,” she said, pulling out some of Gaia’s currency from her wallet. The bouncer hesitated, but nodded. He held up three fingers. “300? Right. Here you go.”

“If you come again, we won’t be so lenient,” the bouncer said, dropping AAH on the floor like a sack of potatoes. Chrys hurried over to AAH and kneeled down next to her.

“You okay?” she asked, taking a tissue out to wipe away the small trickle of blood flowing down AAH’s neck where the bouncer had unintentionally punctured her with his nails.

“No. I’m not okay! That…” she let out a frustrated hiss.

“If you two are done talking…” the king snapped his fingers and reinforcements surrounded them again. “It’s time to pay…”

“Not so fast!” a small voice called out from the din. Everyone turned to see a hooded shadow walking towards them with a crossbow belted at the side.

“Who are you?” Chrys asked, standing up.

The figure smiled and strode over to them. “I’m Alayah, from the n00b community. I was sent here from Barton Town by Ian. He said to come pick you guys up since you were taking so long.” Alayah looked over at the stunned King and Admins. “But it looks like you two have a good excuse.”

“Chrys…how is this n00b going to help us?” AAH asked, giving Alayah a quick once-over. “She doesn’t look very strong.”

“It’s okay! I’ve actually migrated to the Gaian Kingdom from the Uldah continent in Erinn.”

“…This one is a heathen as well!” Lanzer said. “I’ve heard of that place. It has only one deity…a woman!”

stressed “Excuse me, did I just hear you complain about our Goddess?” Alayah asked, cracking her knuckles. “Cuz that’s what it sounded like to me.” Her eyes flashed dangerously. “Summon Maith!” There was a bright light and a small white dog appeared.

“…a dog?” Chrys asked.

“Smash!” Alayah commanded pointing at the king. The dog gave a small bark and rushed towards the King. The Admins quickly surrounded their King to protect him. “…Maith! Return!” the dog disappeared and the Admins relaxed. “Tch. How spineless you are. Calling upon your men. Fight me fair and square.” She drew her hood back, revealing a shock of red hair. But it was her eyes that drew most of the attention. Chrys had never seen such cold, indifferent eyes.

“Um, Alayah?” Chrys asked. The girl in question turned her gaze towards the Paladin. “Maybe we should just…um…leave.”

“Ah, I see. All right then.” Alayah lowered her crossbow and took out something that looked like a wing made out of wax, “We’ll use this then.” She lit the wax wing and as it slowly began to melt, Alayah pulled out a map. “We shall leave at once.” Chrys got a small peek at said map and saw all the small cities in the Gaian world scribbled there. Alayah pointed at the scribble that said ‘Barton Town’. A light emitted from the wing, surrounding all three girls. Alayah threw one last look at the King. “I’ll fight you later, scum.” And then…they were gone.
