Sunday Morning
i step into golden sunlight
still in my night clothes.
the way the sun climbs the trees
to light the sky leaves delicate shadows
the 9am sun glows upon everything
giving it light and sentemental value
birds sing delicately from above
some happiness just doesnt require love
the quiet lack of automobiles
is the loudest sound i dont hear
yet my car, rust ridden and old,
begins to look beautiful in the suns gold
the simple pleasures are all i shall take
when the day comes that i wont wake
to see that 9am sun
climb above the horizon
