What if? Case Scenario #3

(Clarissa's outake on the Ganondorf Plotline)

Clarissa smiled with her eyes shut tightly. There was this faint smell of cinnamon sticks and fresh flowers in the room. It wasn't over-bearing but warm and welcoming. It reminded her of her mother. She'd always leave a pretty pink vase on the table arranged with cinnamon sticks and pretty spring flowers in her room when she was a child.

Upon opening her eyes, she immediately noticed the very same thing sitting on a side table near the bed. She frowned, a little shocked and slightly creeped out. Her eyes traced over the ridges in the sticks, carefully taking in the familiarity.

"Oh, you're awake! Joseph, look!"

Clarissa quickly shot up in bed, the blankets falling to her midsection. The sudden movement forced her to hiss and grasp onto her wounded side. That's right, she'd been injured, caught up in the middle of a fight with some Shadow thing against a man in green and what looked like a Shiekah.

She cautiously pulled her eyes up to see an old woman before her, a pair of knitting needles falling from her grasp as she struggled to keep Clarissa still.

"Oh my! Don't move so much, young lady! You'll only reopen your wounds!" she told her. Clarissa winced and frowned. "Where am I? Who are you?" she asked, dumbfoundedly.

The old woman had to have been in her 60's. She had greying brown hair that was long and tied back. A younger man who looked close to Clarissa's age and alot like someone she use to know, had stared down at her, concerned. He was clad in knight-like armor.

"She wacked her head pretty hard, didn't she?" he asked of his friend. The older woman nodded, knitting her eyebrows together. "You're in Kakiriko Village. A young man brought you here along with a few other men and women who were injured from this ghastly shadow creature."

"It escaped from the well, who'd have thought? Kinda creepy, actually. Impa was always mysterious when she spoke of that damned well. Urgh." The man said. (Note: Everyone in Kakiriko knows her. She owns the village.)

Clarissa looked down at her lap, clenching her fists together. She didn't remember much of that. "Huh, well, how did I get this wounded? That thing went right through me...like a ghost." This redhead was as confused as ever.

The elderly woman had held her chin, thoughtfully, as if trying to remember what she'd seen. "Oh my, well, when the entire thing happened..."

Flashback

Clarissa had run into Kakirko Village as she ahd seen thick, black, smoke rising from within it's gates. She'd been out of breath when she'd entered the endangered village. The young scrub behind her, hopped up after her, holding his head in shock.

"Holy crap! The town's on fire!" he yelled out, staring at the windmill up ahead that had been lit up in flames. A few rooftops of homes had caved in with smoke and flames as well. He glanced back up at Clarissa. "Fire's bad, Clarissa! Fire's bad!" he yelled, running around in circles, screaming his head off like the other villagers.

Clarissa bit her lip, quite intimidated by the entire situation. It reminded her of the nearly destroyed Clock Town from so long ago. She shook her head and was set to help someone when she was nearly thrown aside by a man in green. He raced towards the well before them where a Sheikah had stood, gazing down into it.

"RUDE MUCH?!" Clarissa yelled, glaring at the b*****d. Her mouth was quickly silenced when something had broke loose from the well. A large, creepy, shadow-like creature emerged from below, lifting the shiekah up and throwing it around violently before launching it off elsewhere. It flew passed the man in green and ripped through other villagers, killing them on spot.

It was darting toward her, allowing Clarissa only enough time to react with a leap of faith (Uh, not AC-wise, I meant literally, she jumped off of where she was in faith she wouldn't break her neck...) towards a ledge she had been on prior. The shadow had still been quicker, having faded through Clarissa's body and exited, leaving her falling into some crates below, crashing into them and everything going dark.

At that point in time, the old woman had been running away from some scattered shadow creatures that chased after her. One of the thigns she could be heard screaming was, "Oh! Seraph, I can't...I can't run any faster! Oh!" to which she had collapsed. When she held her tired arms over her head, a man had appeared with both his shield and sword in his grasp, ready to defend her and countless other villagers.

Everything seemed to have happened so fast. As the woman came to, she'd been placed in a large home in a cot near other injured villagers, Clarissa being one of them. The other knight had appeared, caring for most of them with another young woman by his side.

End Flashback.

Clarissa arched a brow and then suddenly had gone pale in the face. "Denny! The scrub that was with me, that was Denny! Where is he? I've gotta find him!" she yelled, anxiously throwing the blankets off of her.

The knight shook his head. "Oh no you don't. You're too weak to do anything, kid."

Clarissa glared up at the man, his features had seemed to remind her so much of someone, her father, he had looked like the splitting image of her father. That was absurd and Clarissa knew it. Although he also had a faint reminder of her big brother, but he was dead too, wasn't he? Trying to look past that oddity, she growled.

"Look, he's just a little scrub, he can't deal on his own, he's only 11!" she argued.

The older woman frowned. "Oh, it's so dangerous out there though. Since King Ganondorf had taken over, nowhere is safe...."

Clarissa raised an eyebrow. "King, who's a what now?"
