A few pieces of my mind
Feeling mature?
Feeling mature?

Since turning 20, today is the first day I've suddenly not felt like a teenager.

10 reasons why this is.

1~ I woke up at 6:30am feeling freshed after a good 8 hours sleep.
2~ I had plenty of time to prepare for todays lecture at uni. (e.g have breakfast, get my notes organised)
3~ The sight of fizzy juice first thing in the morning made me feel rather sick
4~ I realised I have no idea who is number 1 in the music charts and that I listen to the same old songs on my ipod.
5 ~ I don't have an up to date ipod.
6 ~ I made a meal plan for the week ahead.
7 ~ I actually ironed my clothes.
8 ~ I was called a mature student.
9 ~ I did not get asked for I.D when buying a rated 18 DVD
10 ~ Mother and Father don't really support me financially

So, to my teenage friends I ask you to think about what you have now. Sure parents can be a drag sometimes, but seriously, they do a lot for you. I'm just sad to say it took me many years to realise how much they did for me.

So tonight when you sit down for dinner with your family, thank them for the meal. Its the least you could do. Afterall, they paid for it and cooked it for you.

Sure I still don't know how to fix a sink or what that button on the washing machine is for, but ever since I turned 20, I've grown in ways I never anticipated.

Time to go sit down with a cup of tea and read over my lecture notes.

I cried when I turned 20, I was scared that I wouldn't be able to get away with half the s**t I had been getting away with up until that point. I then proceeded to ask my parents for money (which they gave me), went to one lecture, and then got baked with my twin sister.

    I like being 20.

    4 and 5 don't count for me,
since I never had any particular interest in that,
    but 8 does count.

Oh yeahh, only 7 more things to go before I'm mature.
    = w=;

    Only a year left,
I might mature a bit during that time too,
    who knows.
    surprised

the first thing my sister said when she turned 20 was:
    "boy im getting old!"
but she's still my loving sister no matter what. smile
