Dyer's Eve: Prisoner
Kage stood that the front of a Viking longboat as is approached a lone island. Nestled on the island proudly was the city of Atlantis, home of the mermaids. His eyes gazed upon the wondrous construction that made each of its buildings. The architecture was astounding, far beyond its time. Elegant buildings, bridges and towers loomed amongst the city like statues devoted to prosperity. From his view on the ship he could see peace and order amongst the people on the dock which await their arrival.

Kage stepped from the gang plank after the longboat had docked and immediately he made he way towards the heart of the legendary city. As he walked through the streets he chose to ignore the comments made by the townspeople. They all recognized him for what they had heard from rumors spread from travelers. Clearly this was a city that new much of the happenings in the rest of the world. Many showed fear of him but he paid them no attention. They knew the living death had come to the city, he knew they had the knowledge that he needed to set himself on a more righteous path.

As Kage approached the capitol building a group of Mermaids stood atop the steps to greet him. Before he could climb the full extent of the long set of stairs the king of Atlantis stopped him with an outstretched hand commanding that he halt where he strode. "Kage Kilangel. Why have you come to our fair city?" The kind asked clearly having the knowledge that this demon of men would arrive. As Kage listened to the kind speak he chose to ignore the large number of Atlanteon soldiers that surrounded him, each with a hand on their weapons waiting to draw them in the name of protection. "My allegiance with The Hands of Fate was requested, however I feel as though one such as I am un-worthy to walk amongst them. I have come here by their advisement that I may be taught the ways of harmony, peace and forgiveness." Kage's solemn voice explained. He was not hear to destroy nor take any lives, yet he did not blame the Atlanteons for treating his presence the way they were. In his mind he deserved such a suspicious welcome for the misguided path he had walked in his life. "I am here under terms I have never embraced until my journey to your fair city had begun. I speak only the truth when I say I am hear as your humble student." He knelt after speaking those words. "I seek only the knowledge I would need, based upon your judgement, to set me on the path to a righteous existence. That I would leave behind blind slaughter and serve only the progress of the world and its fate." His head lowered so the only thing in his sight were the steps on which he knelt.

After a few moment of thought the king spoke again ignoring the questioning and doubtful glare's that the group of politicians gave him as they stood atop the stairs with their respected leader. "Commendable. Though you'll understand out doubt for your words. Knowing what you have done and the malicious intent you have shown the rest of the world. One such as you doesn't just seek salvation at the will of another let alone and entire order." The kings eyes were sternly watching Kage, ignoring all others, as the white-haired demon of men knelt on his city steps. Kage still ignored the soldiers as they crept closer to him. "Take him." The king ordered to the soldiers prompting Kage to immediately look up and glare into his eyes to see only a heartless look in return to his own from the kind. A hang clasped the back of Kage's neck which was promptly fallowed by an incantation filling his body with lightning, paralyzing his body and blocking his sorcery. Kage's eyes widened in those few moments as the commanding officer gripped the back of his neck. The spell rendered Kage helpless and in those few seconds Kage attempted to resist but the Mermaids spell was unlike any he had seen before. He had no defense and after a few moment collapsed as if death had struck him down.

As the officer released his grip of Kage's neck the king gave his final orders to them, condemning Kage's fate to the Atlanteons. "Take him to the dungeons. Ready the seal's and give him no mercy. He has shown no mercy to the life of others and so we shall give him no aid." The kings eyes rested on the lifeless body that lay upon the steps. "For your crimes, we condemn you to suffer. This is both your first lesson and our downfall." His words filled those in earshot with happiness and confusion. The king knew what their actions would bring to the species yet also he knew that this was the only way to show Kage that which he was seeking. With his order's he knew before all others could think that they would aid him and unleash his wrath.
