edit: I just realized that I had that band wrong. >_>;;

This is what I get for drinking coffee at 11:30 PM. -.- But it's fun to be this hyper at this hour! Three cheers for giddy-ness! I just realized how dense I am...

I was at a Ceilidh (kay-lee), which is Gaelic for a gathering of friends for a night of music, song, dance and storytelling, and the main band there, Equinox, had a dancer. It took the entire night ?til my dad showed up at 10:00 where he pointed it out when she was out of ear shot that she was staring at me... ^.^;; *blush blush blush* But the whole thing was awesome. There were like six different pipe bands of ranging skill levels, the best of which was only there with four members (the rest couldn't make it). There were also several schools of Irish dancing, including the one that took the "All Irish Championship" last year.

Anywho, the focal point of the evening was Liz, the dancer for Equinox. Kevin introduced us and we chatted in between her dances. It was weird as we both recognized the other from Ren Fair, but neither of us knew the other. After a few hours there and Dad pointing out the whole staring thing, she gave me her email, making for a happy Fluffy. Only downside: she's from Saginaw. Oh well, her band plays a lot of gigs so I'll be sure to see her 'round some time soon.

Onto other pressing matters: Scheduling for next year. Is anyone else from our circle going to go out for PPC with me? So far, I don't think anyone is. I'll be stuck there, all alone and isolated with peoples that are popular and talented far beyond what it takes to make Fluffy seem insignificant. >.>;;

Anyway here's a transcription of the monologue I'll be doing to cover the dramatic and classical requirements for application.

MERCUTIO

O, then, I see Queen Mab hath been with you.
She is the faries' midwife, and she comes
In shape no bigger than an age-stone
On the fore-finger of an alderman,
Drawn with a team of little atomies,
Athwart men's noses as they lie asleep;
He wagon-spokes made of long spiders' legs,
The cover of the wings of grasshoppers,
The traces of the smallest spiders' web,
The collars of the moonshine's watery beams,
Her whip of cricket's bone, the lash of film,
Her wagoner as small gray-coated gnat,
Not so big as a round little worm
p***k'd from the lazy finger of a maid;
Her chariot is a small empty hazel -nut
Made by the joiner squirrel or old grub,
Time out o' mind the faries' coachmakers.
And in this state she gallops night by night
Through the lovers' brains, and then they dream of love;
O'er couriers' knees that dream on court'sies strait,
O'er lawyers' fingers, who strait dream on fees,
O'er ladies' lips, who straight on kisses dream,
Which oft the angry Mab with blisters plagues,
Because their breaths with sweetmeats tainted are:
Sometimes she gallop o'er a courier's nose,
And then dreams he of smell out a suit;
And sometime comes she with a tithe-pig's tail
Tickling a parson's nose as a' lies asleep,
Then dreams, he of another benefice:
Sometimes she driveth o'er a soldier's neck,
And then dreams he of cutting foreign throats,
Of breaches, ambuscadoes, Spanish blades,
Of healths five fathom deep; and then anon
Drums in his ear, at which he starts and wakes,
and being thus frighted swears a prayer or two
And sleeps again. This is that very Mab
That plats the manes of horses in the night,
And bakes the elflocks in foul sluttish hairs,
Which once untangled, much more misfortune bodes:
This the hag, when maids lie on their backs,
That presses them and learns them first to bear,
Making them women of good carriage:
This is she--

Don't feel alone Fluff. I believe 'Riki is trying out too. Not positive though. I would try out like I had planned, but my schedule for next year is filled.
