As the dawn of the new day broke, I woke up and began packing my things. It didn't take too long as I have yet to obtain that much. Once everything was safely packed away in my bag, I headed home to speak with my mother. I took the shortest route home and didn't come into contact with any wild pokemon on the way. Once I got home, I explained everything to my mother and she seemed very happy for me and told me not to worry about her. As I was talking to her, Leon's mother came into our house and asked if Leon was here. When I told her that he wasn't she asked me if I could take a parcel to him and I agreed. I then bid both my mother and Leon's mother one last farewell and promised to visit every now and then. Once I got back to Sandgem, I headed out to Route 202 and saw that once again Lucas was waiting for me. As I walke dup to him he told me that he'd show me how to catch pokemon and I watched as he used his grass-type pokemon TURTWIG to catch the normal-type pokemon BIDOOF. After he finished his little display he handed me five pokeballs and then went on his way, towards Jubilife City. I followed after him, but got caught up in several battles againt some trainers.It was as I saw the towering buildings of Jubilife, that a wild SHINX, the thunder-typer pokemon came up and I battled it. I waited until it was weak enough and then I tossed a pokeball at it. I then caught the wild pokemo and named it BOLTY...
Jubilife City was rather large, but as I entered the city, Lucas walked up beside me and he asked me how many pokemon I had caught and wehn he saw that I only had one new pokemon with me he seemed disappointed. I chuckled and told him that I'd be sure to catch more as I traveled. Lucas seemed okay with that and then brought me to the Pokemon School and told me that Leon went in earlier. I decicded to go in and check if he was still there. When I got in he was still there, so I walked up to him and handed him the parcel from his mother, which contained two Town Maps. He gave me one of them and then rushed out again. "Why is he always in such a hurry to do things?" I asked myself as I left the school and headed up to the pokemon center. Before I could enter I was approached by an odd man who told me that he would give me a poketch if I found three clowns within the city and obtain their coupons. I agreed to it and at first I thought it would be a hard task to find three people within a large city like Jubilife, but it was surprisingly easy. Once I had all the coupons I returned to the odd man and obtained the watch. It seemed like it would be quite useful in my journ ies so I thanked the man and headed out towards Oreburgh for my first badge. Along the route, I met up wht Leon who ubruptly challenged me to a pokemon battle and once again I came out ictorious. After the battle Leon claimed that he was going to become the strongest pokemon trainer in the world and ran away. I continued on my way, but began training my new pokemon BOLTY. After a few hours of training I arrived within Oreburgh City and found that the gym leader was in the Coal Mines. So I decided that I'd better head there first and get the gym leader to battle me. The mines were filled with wild GEODUDE, ONIX, and MACHOP. They were easy enough to defeat, but upon beating them my loveable HIITA began to shine. I didn't know what it was at first, but it transformed into a new form. MONFERNO. I found the gym leader and then he told me to come challenge him at his gym and I then found a quick escape route from the mine and took it. Once I got to the gym I challenged the leader and defeated all three of his pokwmon with my HIITA. After the battle Rorark gave me the gym badge and a TM and congratulated me on my victory. I then healed my pokemon and left for Jubilife again. Now that I knew the way, the time it took was shortened greatly. On the way I saw Leon run by me and get ahead of me, but I didn't even acknowledge him. Once inside Jubilife I ran into Lucas and Professor Rowan. They seemed to be in an argument with some oddly dressed people. As I approached them, Rowan told me to team up with Lucas and defeat the rabble. I did and the battle was easily won. Once the two men were defeated, they ran away and Rowan told me that I should take the pokemon gymm challenge. Even as he told me this, I already knew that was what I was planning to do. After saying that, both he and Lucas left and I headed up towards Route 204...
The route had very little trainers to battle, but with both HIITA and BOLTY they were of very little challenge. As I made it up to a small cavern between Floroma Town and Jubilife City, I began to wonder why those strange men wanted Professor Rowan's research on pokemon evolution. It didn't take me long to shrug thhose thoughts aside. The cave had very little oimportance to me as I went through it, but the dark dampness of it's walls made me fell a little frightened. Once I was out it took a short time for me to reach Floroma. The small town was beautiful. Flowers were scattered throughout the town and just seemed to brighten everything around them. Although the town was beautiful, it held very little importance to my main challenge. I did notice a few men that were dressed the same as the ones that were arguing with the professor earlier and as I left the town a small girl asked me to save her father, who was apparently taken hostage by the same men. I agreed, but on the way to the Valley Windworks, I noticed a small weasel pokemon and knew the moment I saw it, that I needed it. During the battle with the BUISEL, BOLTY evolved and took it down with ease. Once it was weak and unable to battle I caught it with a pokeball. I gave it the nickname TORRENT. After I realized that it wasn't strong enough< I put it through some rigorous training and before I knew it, the sun had gone down. I decided that I'd find a way into the Valley Windworks and save that girls father. Once again I got a room in the pokemon center and drifted into a silent slumber...
