Chronicles of The Lost Thought: Recurrance
DeVars walked on this afternoon, trying to shook off his sleepy self out of the cold cradle's embrace - he decided to feign nature's call and went to the men's room to spend some time to wake himself up the cold fountain.
The waters were not that warm - and I enjoyed it much... if it were warm then it'll provide enough comfort to pull up warmth around my face, but then concede to the cold later on and the cold will avenge itself on me and make me more sleepy.
I cupped in some fresh water and splashed it to my face - and as I look up the large mirror up front I saw her again, her face tilted - smiling. "Eh~ you're sleepy... you should be working~"
She slowly walked near and moved a hand to my back slowly patting it and stroking, like a mother comforting her child. Embarrassing. Fortunately, there's no one else around - except her and me... wait - she is with me...?
I've always wondered how she could spell her way in and out of tight places - and it's now twice that she appeared near me on sensitive room... man - if someone catches us... I must make this quick.
"Yeah - sleepy... that's why I went here - at least I hoped the cool waters will refreshen me somewhat.", I replied while still washing my somnolent face a few more times.
"...", no reply. She just stood there. Looking at me like I'm a stranger.
Having to wait for her lengthened paused, I assumed she had spaced out or something - so I decided to take another initiative and restart our conversation. "So - how ever did you managed to get in here - by the way - are you a ghost or something - or part of my mind I guess..."
She snapped out of it hearing my voice. However, her expression changed to a sad one, and her arms slowly bent in and her hands neared her lips. "I... um..."
"Hmm?", I asked again - this time I changed my expression to a more cheerful, friendly one - to encourage her more and make her tell. "Yes? ... you can tell me - we're friends right?"
She nodded slowly still afraid to even mutter a smile. I looked at her with patient eyes, I know my time here in the men's room is starting to cause a problem, but I waited nonetheless.
"I - really want to know - if - I was missed.", she answered softly, not even enough to be audible.. somehow I got her words through her lips. She was on the verge of an emotional geyser.
I quickly went near her and gave her a hug - but then I noticed her form passes through mine... like a hologram of some sort - or maybe some ghost... I feigned it anyway... ghost or no ghost - she was no stranger anymore, and at least in thought - I have hugged her to comfort her.
"Yes - you are missed."
