Chronicles of The Lost Thought: Silent Sonata
It has been a day after that fated event - and she didn't come yesterday... And there I was sitting on that metal chair again... probing at the invisible strands of air for my next journal entry... I doubt no one will believe my story if I were to put that one in about five to six consecutive entries here. heh. Thinking of it - the events do happen in a day to day basis... except this last one. Last yesterday.
The patient monitor stands still, for about an hour now, waiting for some keystroke to be typed in. Suddenly - this bell clang sounded.... it's her... she came back. It's been a while, well a day - but that was a long while enough for me... I really missed her.
"Hey! You - ", she started the greeting. "Heh - couldn't make a journal I see... boys - you could just stop and throw the thing out you know, or cover it with you dawdles and raps... things boys do..."
I'm already used to that kind of speech - and the way she does it is no different from what every other person does it... except for minor details - details that separate each one of us from another. "Hey... you're back!"
"Dont 'you' me...", she quickly interrupted, "I already got a name you know - " She set her hands to her waist as if she's lecturing one dull student, "And if I remember right, you're the one who gave that to me!"
"Heh", I tried to refresh that event from my mind, exactly two days ago...
I hugged her in that room - just to keep her from crying. 'You - were missed.'
Then she let out a small giggle and chuckle, "Heh-heh- knock it off!", she urged a weak push to get loose from the hug. "I'm just messing with -", another weak push, and it seems like she's doing it intentionally, "-you", her voice changed to a more softer one as her arms found their way around mine.
After some time making sure she had finally come to, I decided to let her go. "Hmmm - kind to think of it - I haven't asked you your name yet?" I kind of thought about it to get some time off - which is fortunately true - this long time, I haven't asked her name...
"A name- what is that?", she asked while getting a head tilt.
She didn't know what a name is... didn't she have a name... did no one ever gave her one. This would be her first then, I gotta think of something that really suits her...
"Well a name is something that you own, which another person calls you, and which describes you best. I think I'll name you -"
And there it was... she'd got herself a name. A name I'm proud to call her - and I think I gave her one very deserving name. "Heh...", she continued her blunt speech, taking every bit of honor out of me. "I just came back to - say goodbye..."
Her image slowly faded to the blackness of the night. As she was on her halfway vanishing, she gave a sad wave and seated on my lap typing keystrokes off to the journal page - "Chronicles of The Lost Thought: Silent Sonata"
"My last gift... ", she finally said - and vanished permanently out to thin air.
"Nooo~!", hearing the last keystroke type on I rushed a quick breath and grabbed her back but to no avail. There was sudden coldness from the air as I feel my self sweating cold. I tried to shout to the top of my lungs but no voice came out of it.
Right then I woke up - the clicking of the keys made me took attention to my computer, someone was there, sitting... typing. I rubbed my eyes to give a clearer view to whomever kind enough to finish what I was typing.
"There - all done!", the voice was hers, "You passed out trying to figure out what to do here - this journal of yours... I think it needs a woman's touch."
"Heh... you're back...", I was out of words again. The dream really seemed true - and waking out from it took the most of me. "I..."
She interrupted what I had on mind.
"Missed me?"
