Push
When the madness of an entire world
Disturbs the structure of a solitary mind
Its not enough to call that one crazy
And so this I've come to find
I stand before a military
armed and ordered to kill me

but I push
on
with all the strength it takes to
assault that which binds you

I bleed for a stranger
I plead for nothing better
than to remain here
protecting the blood of innocent
comfort forfeits at the toll for desire
I will give anything it takes to just acquire
Vengeance for those who have fallen for oath
Tangled in a thousand lies a leader invoked

but push
on
I am only a guide to
that which impales you

Paying the piper gets harder each time
Playing the game has grown so tiresome
but till I exhale the last intake of clean air
I will take this stand against the world of despair
Lingering here merely out of pride
refusing to close my eternal eyes
The body battered, but the spirit never dies
I beg to hear a fellow man oblige

to push
on
with all the pity it takes to
save that which has saved you
