A Touch of History
This will mostly contain history stuff.
* I just watched season three of the SJA last weekend in one of those painful coincidences. It's hard to get my head around Elizabeth Sladen being not out in the world being awesome. This got me where I live: http://www.dorktower.com/images/comics/DorkTower942.gif

I keep poking at why this his me so hard. I think part of why it's so startling is she seemed so vibrant and alive on SJA, and part of it is the way her character always symbolized decency and hope.

* Mission to Mercury pictures: http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/messenger/main/index.html

* "Kissing is not obscene:" http://www.sparkindarkness.com/2011/04/kissing-is-not-obscene.html

How sad that the first comment boils down to, "but what about the straight people!" Sigh.

* Attn, Deusabscondum: http://box-in-the-box.livejournal.com/502733.html

* And a comic: http://www.redmeat.com/redmeat/current/index-1.gif

* Rachel Maddow on Republican efforts to disenfranchise voters. Includes footage of michigan POc furious at their loss of suffrage: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26315908/ns/msnbc_tv-rachel_maddow_show/#42672552

* Senator Kyl has had the lies he told about Planned Parenthood and the ready availability of Pap smears at Walgreens removed from the congressional record. Likely on the grounds that he's being widely mocked.

* Why Are tiny Tea Party Protests big news, but larger counter protests and even larger pro-labour demonstrations aren't? Shouldn't the numbers determine prominence?

* Wicked Girl Saving Myself tee shirts going on sale: http://seanan-mcguire.livejournal.com/344449.html
