Yesterday I went into this organic like grocery store in search of a ginger beer (non alcoholic). Now if you've ever had some then you know that unlike ginger ale a ginger beer burns going down, burns the nose, and makes you feel like it is about to put hair on your chest. Well a good ginger beer is suppose to do that at least.

Sadly they didn't have any but the cashier nicely pointed out to me a ginger ale that was made in the next state that had 'spice'. I was doubtful but the fact that the man had actually told me about it as opposed to just telling me that they didn't carry any ginger beer and send me along my merry way made me buy it. That kind of service is rather rare and needs to be rewarded.

I won't lie to you. I had originally went in search of it for my mother since I'm not the biggest fan of ginger beer, I can drink it but once in a blue moon. But even I liked it. I was excepting the usual dry ginger ale but when I tasted it I wanted to get back in my car drive back to see that cashier and kiss him then buy some more. This stuff has a kick without knocking you out! The ingredients are few and simple and you can actually taste it, it's not really over powering nor is it weak, it has this nice 60/40 sort of balance.

I handed it over to my mother when I went to visit her and she couldn't believe that it was a ginger ale. Seriously. Have you ever seen those commercials for a diet or lowfat product that swears up and down to you that it tastes just like the original? But that's a lie, you can taste the difference. Well with this it's true you can't tell the difference between it (unless you're dealing with that Jamaican ginger beer, that's a whole different animal!) and in fact it actually tastes better.

Sadly my ride wasn't doing to well so I couldn't make the round trip, not to mention I didn't want to pay on the meter again. So instead I wrote a compliment to the company telling them our story and how much we loved it. Today I just learned that for doing that I'm getting a free mix case of their ginger ales. Getting it free is nice and all they really didn't have to do that. But really this is some good stuff.
