“…the origin of the legacy…”
It has been a hundred years since our faithful friend Red left pallet town and embarked on his adventure to be the very best. In Red’s adventures he took down and destroyed various gym leaders, various evil organizations and he took the world by storm. A lot has happened since then; the entire concept of Pokémon across the world has completely changed. There are several hundred Pokémon in the world today and they’re teeming, everywhere. Humans are not the only occupants on earth but they are the masters of earth… or at least the masters of what they’re capable of taming.
This is a new Generation, a new story, let’s make it ours. Join us and see what fate and destiny has in store for us.
This roleplay is focused around the Maple Project. The Maple Project is a project that involves a group of settlers from the five main regions – Kanto, Jhoto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova – and has them embark in an expedition to find new regions and to establish settlements so to further introduce humans across the globe. The current undertaking of the Maple Project is to scout the isle of Originis Legatum. The Isle of Originis Legatum is as legends regard it, the birth place of all Pokémon that belong to the Kanto and Jhoto regions. There is also a rumor that the Isle is also the breeding ground used by the three mighty birds – Zapdos, Articuno & Moltres – and the three mighty dogs – Entei, Raiku & Suicune.
Setting –
The isle of Originis Legatum is circular in shape with sandy beaches all around. It’s a large island though, with three very tall mountains that protrude the heavens. One mountain to the north is coal grey in color and the skies around it are in constant turmoil of rain, thunder and lightning. They’ve called this mountain Fury’s Point. To the Far East where the cold wind comes from, just past the frozen over sandy beaches you’d arrive at the second mountain. This mountain actually doesn’t physically connect with the island above sea level itself but there is almost always a frozen path of ice that connects this mountain to the frigid shores. It’s surrounded by ice burgs at all times. Dewgongs and Seels are always found lying about and around the mountain. We’ve dubbed this mountain as Glacier’s Rise. Then we have Molten Peak which is more of an active Volcano than a real mountain. Molten Peak rises as high as its sister mountains and also breaks the heavens. It’s also well known for the constant downpour of ashes that it rains upon the ground and dead forest below. It is located on the south western part of the island, just past the Dark Valley and through the Ash Forest and its crystalized trees.
Through the center and the rest of the island we have forests with swamps, marshes and lakes. We also find caverns and ruins of what might’ve been a pre-historical race here on the island. There are deserts and plains and lagoons and so many things to see, all of which contain Pokémon – only the Pokémon from the Jhoto and Kanto regions though. There was even a reported sighting of an Aerodactyl flying far above the sandy dunes of Garresha.
We of the Maple Project are located on the South Eastern Tip of the isle. A ship harbor has been built and a small base to accompany it. We’ve managed to set up a Pokémon center and though the nagging of several companies we have still kept the Pokémart off the base and instead we have a store hold were everyone is entitled to use what they need and when they need it. So long as things are kept in check and things are not out of control. The staff members of the Project are housed in wooden cabins. It might be a hundred years in the future but we lack the funds to build ourselves a better establishment until we produce more adequate results.
Even with all this inner turmoil that can be found on the island the majority of the island is vast and broad – the size of let’s say Texas – much larger than the other regions. This island has the possibility of hosting all the five regions together and still has space for more people, thus the necessity of the Maple Project.

Maple Project Headquarters
Current Undertaking – Construction of an Electrical Power Plant.
• The first task to keep the Maple Project stable is the construction of a Power Plant in or near Maple City. We know that certain Pokémon enjoy and thrive within electrical power plants but first one must be created. Settlers are asked for the aid in the construction of the said power plant along with their main task of the capture and use of willing Pokémon to help give the initial spark for our said power plant. Breeders and Researchers are to keep an eye on the process and make sure Pokémon are not discriminated or abused in the process.
The Road so far:
• The Maple Project has been on the isle of Originis Legatum for the past three months. A small town has been established and pavement has been put down but routes from one place to another haven’t been forged. We still don’t know what Pokémon can be caught where, our map of the island is solid but needs revision and most of all the last crew who volunteered to come to the island had recently left. Now with a base established they can begin to bring in settlers and others to help with the processing of the region and the first batch of people arriving are you. The only people who have been on the isle since the beginning of the project are the Leaders of the specific groups – Project Leader, Research Leader, Lead Breeder, Lead Ranger and the Head of the Security Detail for the Maple project.
The Starting Point:
• The roleplay is about to begin. The new group of researchers, breeders, settlers and security detail are arriving on the S.S. Oceana at the harbor of Maple City. That’s where we’ll make our starting point.
