Prologue
It is said that there are people in this world that protect the earth from destruction. They are called Guardians. Every Guardian has a unique power. Mega Guardian has the power of using a cannon. Ultimate Guardian has dragon power and uses a sharp blade and black magic for his weapon. Ruby Guardian also has the power to use the power of dragons. Emerald Guardian has the power to transform herself into animals including human beings. Supreme Guardian has the power to use any sort of black magic. They have to protect us from destruction. But what we didn't know was that every Guardian has their own prophecy they have to follow. Sadly enough, it is that which makes the destruction. If a Guardian doesn't fulfill their prophecy or if they become thirsty for power or overthrown by greed, they will become into something called a Weapon. Thus making them into killers. In this world as we know it someday we will have to pass away. Some people do not get that. Such as a young woman at the age of fifteen. This is her story and how she created it. Her name is Aleana. Ever since she was little, her parents would always tell her stories of how they were children and how they were nearly to their death, and how they were saved. There was always someone or something watching over them. "I was crossing the road with my little brother when a lunatic didn’t put on their brakes," her mother, Marion, said, "I clenched on to my brother tightly. When I looked up, there was a huge dent in the stranger's car. I didn't remember seeing a dent on the vehicle before." "What happened?" Aleana always asked, clinging to her small teddy bear. Marion leaned forward and placed her hand over her daughters and said, "The Guardians saved me and my little brother." Ever since then, Aleana always believed that the Guardians could save anyone from anything. Including disease. One night her grandmother fell ill, the girl prayed for the Guardians to come down from the heavens and save her grandma. When they didn't Aleana was heartbroken. She thought that the Guardians were some child’s' story until she overheard a few grown-ups talking about them. "The Guardians are real! I saw one the other day!" A man in a red beard cried. "How can u see them? They take form as humans and use human names, " said a blonde haired woman. "They leave hints in the smallest of places." "Like what?" A short man asked. "Like, " the red beard man thought for a moment than continued, "In their names!" Aleana went back to home thinking of the conversation she overheard. If her elders spoke of the Guardians, than they must be real. She made an oath to herself that one day, when the time is right, she’d go out in search for the Guardians. And that day, before she knew it, came. She was now fifteen when her parents were out one night and they never returned. Aleana wondered where they went. She wondered what happened to them. Her little sister, Callie, questioned her of where they were. "I don’t know, Callie," Aleana told her sister. The next day Aleana got a call from her friend, Shiro. He told her that her parents died in a car crash. "I'm sorry, Aleana," he said. Aleana sniffled. "I...it's okay. I...it's not your fault," she stuttered. "Aleana, you know I'm here for you if you need to talk." "Y…yeah...I know." The girl softly hung up the phone. She walked up to her sisters' room and looked down at her. Aleana ran her fingers through Callie's hair. "Callie...You're still so young." The girl walked out of the room and went down stairs. She wiped a tear away with her thumb than glanced out of the window. She saw her neighbor and the blacksmith talking. Aleana crept outside and eaves dropped on the conversation. "The dragons are acting up a lot lately," the blacksmith said. "If you think that's weird, " the neighbor began, putting a chunk of her hair behind her ear, "than the murders must be weirder." "Murders?" "Yeah. Haven't you heard? There have been killings all over Isla. The police don't even know who's doing it. No one knows. No clues are left behind." "That is strange." Callie snuck behind her sister and tapped her shoulder and asked, "What are you doing?" Aleana jumped then turned to face Callie. "What are you doing out here?" She questioned. "You were out here and I wanted to know why you were out here. So, what are you doing?" "I'm eaves dropping" "Mommy said that doing that is rude. Where is mommy?" Callie asked while twirling her nightgown "Mommy is...gone, Callie." "Gone where?" "I've heard that the dragons are just out of town to, " the blacksmith continued while he stroked his beard. "Dragons?" Callie said. Aleana put her finger over her sister's mouth. "Shush." She whispered. "Really?" The neighbor asked. "Yes. Someone should stop them before the beasts reach the town." "Why don’t you take care of the monsters? You have a hammer and you could pound them to their death." "Are you kidding, Liza? These dragons weigh a thousand pounds! It has teeth as sharp as butcher knifes for crying out loud! The dragon could eat me in one bite if he wanted!" "Dallas, don't you want to come back to a town that recognizes you as the blacksmith that killed a dragon?" Liza asked. "I guess that would be cool. But I don’t want to die. I'd rather live as a coward than die as a hero." Liza shook her head. "What ever you say, Dallas. Well, nice talking to you." Liza shook her head again then walked into the house next to where Aleana lived "Aleana, if the dragons do come to town won't the Guardians save us?" Callie wondered. Aleana looked at her sister. "Um...yeah...they'll come," she answered, "Now come on, Callie lets go back inside." Aleana pushed Callie into the house and gave her sister a cookie. "Go up to your room Callie." Aleana ordered. Callie nodded and walked up the stairs nibbling on the cookie, crumbs falling to the floor. After Callie was out of site, Aleana ran into her parents' room and pulled out a narrow box from the closet. She tore off the cover and quickly grasped the blade that lay in there. The girl raced to the door and shouted up to her sister so she could hear her. "Callie! I'm going out! You stay in the house okay!" There was a tiny murmur for a reply. "Okay." Aleana grasped the door handle, opened the door, walked out, then slammed it shut. Callie silently crawled down the stairs. She glanced out of the window and saw her sister running towards the woods. The little girl walked outside and quietly followed Aleana.
