Alone Alone Deserted Alert and Angered Sitting and thinking Thinking and spacing Wondering Wind gently caressing my face and arms Moving my hair to and fro Other people talking Other conversations None including me Heart thumping so loud I can hear it Frustrated Wanting someone to vent with Knowing this paper’s all I’ve got Wanting more Needing more A hug A gentle word But it’s not coming
