The world of a count
This is about who, what, and where I am from (or my character is anyways)
A history of the Naga and their respective subspecies

The naga are a species of semi-divine snakes with humanlike faces. They were orginially from Patala, the seventh of the "nether" realms when their twin gods Kashyapa and Kadru sent them to the material plane for two reasons The original naga species had stolen from the other gods a single cup of the elixir of immortalitity. The gods were able to retrieve the cup, but in doing so, spilled a few drops on the ground. The Nagas quickly licked up the drops, but in doing so, cut their tongues on the grass, and since then their tongues have been forked. This is what has given the naga's as a entire species thier long lifespanThe second reason they were sent to the material realm was to watch over the gods new "project",what we now call humans. The original naga species spead over the world working their latient water magic for good of all the various species to bring the rains and periodic floods to wash the world clean. Sadly this was not always to be. They began to spread to the other Realms and world by way of various other gods kidnapping their underwater cities and molding them in their image. This gave way to the three subspecies of Naga; the Orochi, those that can transform between cobra, halfsnake and a humanoidform. The other species are Yugothes, those that have been corrupted by Viox, the god of the Void, to be poisonous snakelike creatures of pure evil. And finally the species called Coatl , rainbow winged serpents that have taken over the rainforests of many worlds, leading their charges in the ways of eternal goodness. The Coatl were created by the god Quetalcoatl too defend against the Yugothes his human protectorates.
