Today, umprompted, my boyfriend told me:

"You make me happy."

Four powerful words that I knew meant a lot, but never realized the weight they carried. We've been dating for just over six months, and while my boyfriend is typically the type to shy away from being overly affectionate, today he seemed to really want to do whatever he could to make me happy.

He said a lot of sweet things that he wouldn't typically say. Things like, "You were waiting for me to notice you? Well... how could I not? You're too pretty to ignore."

"Come here my little princess," and so much more.

And it means everything because he said all of these things without me begging him to. And even when he was leaving he poked fun and said, "Babe, what's wrong?"

And I told him I was sad he was leaving, and he smiled and said, "Because you love me huh? But I'll see you Thursday, so don't worry."

I never saw myself dating someone ever again, but I've never felt so good, not like when I'm by his side and we're feeling high off of one another's energy.

I love you, James. More than anyone or anything in this universe.
