"But your grades are slipping!" Bella argued, "Rosie, clearly you're taking on way too much --"
"I am fine." Rosie shot back. "One bad grade on a harmony exam doesn't mean anything."
"Rosie." Bella said with a sigh, before sliding onto the floor next to her roommate. "You know this isn't your first bad grade since you started doing rock band on top of everything else."
"I just ... don't want to give anything up," she murmured, folding her knees towards her chest. "I can't just abandon the rock band. They needed a lead singer and they chose me because of spirit day. The trio is something our teacher wants us to do, so I can't get out of that." She rested her chin on her knees. "And there's the quintet. You guys already tried replacing me, or whatever,"
"Yeah, sure," Bella said with a forced laugh, "Olivia cannot work with Aiko, and Arthur is just ..."
"Arthur?" Rosie finished, the smallest smile pulling at the edge of her mouth.
"He is a character," Bella agreed, "But either way, we know that you work well in our ensemble. And a couple of us do need the small group credit this semester. So I'm not saying choose us, per say... but consider choosing us if you are going to drop something?"
