Kiss the Gold Goodbye! It occured to me yesterday [really deeply] that no one really talks on Gaia anymore. I speak from experience, people just thread jump; posting the same thing in each thread. Either that or bumping. Gaiaonline is a online CHAT forum, shouldn't people being talking? So while thinking about the horid current status of gaia I finally came up with a soloution. Now, perhaps I shouldn't tell the entirerty of gaia otherwise it would not work as planed. But seeing as only a few people even will bother to read this it's all good Alrighty, the only reason 80% of the users here at gaia use this site is because they want gold. Not for what it's really meant for; to meet new people and have conversations with others. So, if one day gaia just posted in the announcements that all of the gold has been stolen from the bank or that the bank has run out of gold everyone would think that gaia has no point anymore. So, all of the users who are here merely to bump and get gold, not to chat would most likely leave gaia. Although this would cause gaia to have a lot less activity, it would clean out the website. So, only the users who are here for the right reason of talking and meeting others would stay. Having only users who are interested in talking would most likely lower the rate of pointless threads such as bumping threads, boys claim girls, slaves etc. You may think that this would dramatically increase the amount of begging, but a simple soloution to that would be to change your pm's to friends only and make sure the people on your friendslist aren't going to beg for gold. No, the gold will not be gone forever. After about a month it will return. So gaia will be cleaned out and only users who really wanted to have conversations and meet people will be here. Of course newbie will join and slowly gaia will return to it's originial status but it's just a "clean out" idea. Another Idea Brought To You By: ~Cherry-Lime-Aid~ Gaia needs more variety with there animal slection. They have a White Kitty, a Black Kitty but what about the Calico Kitty? This poor little cat type feels neglected and needs some love. Show your support for the Calico Kitty by Pming ~Cherry-Lime-Aid~ to sign her pettition. Yes! I had an awsome week, our family didn't get along very well but I had a great time. I didn't want to leave and I still wish I was back there cry
