In the next console war we see Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo. We've already seen the battle between Playstation and The 64 move to X-box, PS2, and The GC battling it out. This year we see the X-box 360, The PS3, and the Nintendo Wii in a gloves off out all fight. Some companies have made the right choices, the others have made the wrong. I believe Wii has come in on top with X-box 360 following second with Sony dismembered and burnt in a foxhole. Ladies and Gentlemen, Sony unhooked the grenade but unfortunatly threw it straight up. With a price in the range of $400-700 for the PS3 only the hardcore sony fans will buy it. I'm sure we can leave them at of sight and mind, but look over there; Nintendo and Microsoft are having at each other with their own consoles.

X-box 360 is doing the same stuff thats been done for years: Better graphics ans franchise titles coming back. I've seen half of the Microsoft E3 press conference. I'm really not amazed. They have a ton of first person shooters which would be crazy if they aren't ported to the PC. The X-box also continues to act like a PC; holding photos, music, and videos. If you have a computer already there is no point to getting a 360. Save your money, seriously. Better graphics do not make up for poor gameplay.

Now the Wii, at first even I refused to call it the Wii. I called it the Revolution! Just the sound of it made it sound like it's swoop into the console war and crush the opposition. But after watching the E3 press conference for Nintendo I've decided to call it the Wii. This console is about inclusion, not exclusion. It is about us; you, me..."we" as a gaming community. I've never been able to spend a lot of time with my family being so attached to a box with cords and controllers. I'd try and get them to play but they didn't know a red shell from a screw attack. With the Wii, we all can get together for one night and have a blast. Golf, tennis, baseball, Wario Ware Wackyness, Excite truck? This will be great! Not only can I actually get into the game by actually moving something other than my thumbs but I can get everyone else too! The controller is simple, easy to handle and hold, and so simple to learn. The virtual console Nintendo is having the Wii get will bring back all those old fond memories of everyone playing Super mario 3 or Yoshi's island.
Thats for me and my family, it also has stuff just for me. DS to Wii connection wireless? Using the Wii remote for indepth games like The Legend of Zelda, Redsteel, and other games? Finally a chance to feel like the character, not two thumbs controlling a robot. Also I'm sure everyone hate load times; the Wii doesn't power all the way off, it goes into standby and when awakened it loads everything from Flash rom, making it only seconds for me to have to wait.

I go with Nintendo because they are doing what they have always done for me. The promise of new games, fun games, for a affordable price. They've kept that promise and I'll keep my loyalty to them.
