I am sure so many of us remember what we were doing this day 5 years ago.
I was awoken by the phone ringing around 9am. My mother telling me to turn the television on. WOW wtf is going on? that's what I was thinking. I was a few months pregnant with my first child and I didn't know it but my grandmother was about to die a month later... She was one of my best friends and I feel bad looking back that she had to see that happen right before she died. I remember thinking what an awful world I am bringing my baby into. My father was at the Windows on the World restaurant the morning before.... wow
Then I started thinking.... who do I know that may work there? I will never forget that day, how I felt, the way the sky looked.... it was going to be another beautiful september day.

The skyline is just not the same when we drive up north towards NYC. It never will be. sad
