Reading a Virginia Woolf novel I've never read exclaim "Flush" about her Cocker Spaniel. Looks good (surprise, surprise). Had finished the Pratchett. A bit too cutesie for me. More time spent winking at the fantasy genre than actually telling jokes (ok, ok, I get it. Hrun the Barbarian is a stand-in for Conan, Liesle the Dragonrider for Lessa from the McCaffrey books, and a few FRP references). Pity, because "Good Omens" was so hilarious. But sandwiching him in between a DuMaurier and a Woolf novel probably isn't fair. Anyway, he's published, I'm not, so I should zip my lips confused
Sitting at computer sipping tea, trying to motivate self. Won't get to the hotel until 11 or so tonight, then work early tomorrow, back just before midnight. Well, I do like Santa Barbara, at least.
