INTRO
I haven't posted in my journal since like a month! Sorry to all the readers, I've had a pretty busy life! So many things happened between the Muse concert and today... I hanged out like crazy in downtown especially on Crescent street. Thanks Mox for giving me a great start in summer and for staying with me though I was an idiot. xd heart This has been the greatest summer ever in all my young seventeen years of life! surprised I quit my job because I was tired of working so freaking early in the morning and the manager was really starting to piss me off. I had written a long text about my job that I was going to post in my journal but it got erased and I don't want to write it again. Anyway, it's not like you guys want to know about my work. rolleyes I got to see one of my favorite bands, Billy Talent at the Warped Tour 06 that was pretty messed up. Then, I went to Granby to help put the decorations for the wedding. It was the most beautiful wedding of the world and the most beautiful couple ever. I can't wait to get nephews and nieces! whee heart I was like an assistant, running around making sure that everything was going well, especially in the kitchen. My cousin was worried because I hadn't eaten when most people were getting second servings. I managed to even do I wasn't at the proper table but it's a long story. I dansed like crazy shocking my mother who thought that I was a loser at dancing. gonk Well, I'll shut up now about the wedding, maybe I'll post an entry about it one day... So 2 days after the wedding, I started cegep!
*Reminder: Cegep is like pre-university. It lasts 2 years, but it can last 3 years if you take a technique allowing you to start working after. *
I was starting cegep on the 21st of august. I wasn't prepared to start so soon, especially after so much festivities. It was just an informational day and we got to have tours of the school. The next day was the official day of school and I was extremely nervous. I came from a public lame french high school and I was going to stay in a private english cegep for 2 years with rich, snobbish kids. I was sure that I wouldn't make any friends and really regretted coming here. It was only at the end of the day before my last class that I got my first friend. Ali is a wonderful gal, I totally love her. She's such an activist, really implicated and she transfered me that energy of yours. From now on, I'm going to get more implicated in things! I wouldn't survive school if it wasn't for you. Totally love you Ali! heart We entered english class and thus became our favorite class ever with religion right after. Those 2 teachers are the best teachers I've had in my entire 17 years of life and that's a lot. 3nodding So it's been my 4th week and I think I've found my real place. High school was crap and I don't really miss think, even though most of my friends dislike cegep. I seriously think that I'm going to have a total blast with all these great friends of mine. It's not that hard to make friends, you just have to take the time to get people better and smile at them. I have joined so many clubs, but I won't be going to all of them. I'll name you the ones I'm going to stay in: Amnesty International, Swing Dance club, Arab Association, Italian club and that's all! So yeah, I'm really implicating myself in the school life like I've always wanted. I also noticed that my shyness around people kinda went away. Sure I still make people smile and laugh, don't go unnoticed in classes even if I try to... sweatdrop My cafeteria is like so freaking cool!!! It's like the cafeteria of my dreams, so I'm really happy and the food there is actually good! eek Other than that... everyone has a cellphone in the cegep, I SWEAR! Everyone's calling to meet others or they're text messaging each other. I don't know how I would have survived if I didn't get a cellphone. So happy I begged my mother to let me have one! 4laugh
Let me tell you about my classes, I have 7 different: ancient civilisation, ancient philosophy, methods, religion, intro to college english, spanish II, soccer.
I've become extremely open on religions now and I participated in this conference named World Religions that was simply amazing. I saw Sri Sri Ravi Shankar that moved me deeply. I got to go to youth panels that were really interesting. Even got interviewed because I had impressed this girl with a friend so she asked us questions about religions since 9/11 and we answered her while being filmed. I can say that I got a wonderful experience. I really have to thank my religion teacher for telling us about it and making me more open-minded about religions. 3nodding
In other words, I totally prefer cegep to high school and I absotely love my cegep!!! Plus I simply adore my friends, all of them!!! whee heart
P-S. I got a job at Gap just today!!! I'm happy because I'll have some money to buy new clothes and accessories. I'll be able to pay back my mother for buying my school books and give back the money I owe DL. Plus, my sister got a job at Terra Nostra and they have such nice clothing! Oooooooh and my brother is finally going to university after 5 years of only working!!! I'm so happy for you bro, finish your studies and get a wonderful job so you'll be able to support your beautiful wife and your future children! Life is getting pretty good. cool
I hate the Canadian government and nothing will make me change my mind for they are a bunch of assholes that can't even do their job properly! stressed
