Last night I spoke with an old friend,
one that I have not needed for awhile.
She was waiting patiently for me,
among my other old friends...

"It has been too long,
where have you gone to?"
"Where I have found someone like me,
someone tangible to hold onto..."

She looks at me, with those teary eyes,
and my heart is shattered as I stand there.
She is not the only one I fear,
as I look around, standing there...

My other friends are also weeping,
but not from tears of sorrow.
For the thought of me leaving,
but that of sad happiness...

For I have found someone to hold onto,
through my many painful trials.
One that looks like her,
as I look back on my dragon girl...

She stands there in the glade,
sorrounded by the dragons.
No longer needed by me,
and finally set free...

I turn and slowly walk away,
my dragons try and follow.
They fly in brilliant acrobatics,
Not wanting to let me go...

"I will be back my friends,
You are too dear to let go.
You have allowed me to continue on,
for that I bid adeu..."
