They will allow me to show you,
what exactly I mean...

I have lived through the dream again,
the dream of the lake.
Just thinking of it now,
makes my spirit ache...

Looking down at my reflection,
and seeing the wounds.
Watching them bleed,
seeing them ooze...

There are new ones forming,
old ones opening up.
The pain is soon overwhelming,
I fear I will soon give up...

I am fighting an uphill battle,
one that never ends.
I live through one pain,
but the battle never ends...

These shadows maybe comforting,
they're caress, soothing.
But it is also consuming,
all that is left of me...

I am fighting through the tunnel,
but there is no light.
Just one lonely candle,
not even moonlight...

She is that candle,
helping me through the night.
But that light is now waning,
as she goes through her own night...

She is the only one that helps me through,
the anchor, against my despair.
All I want to do,
is spend all of my time running fingers through her hair...

But the world is full of hatred,
the world is filled with pain.
It targets the two of us,
like we are to blame...

We were meant to be together,
when will the world see?
Will they see it when we are gone?
When in eternal rest we will be?

But she is away now,
my pain winning the battle.
All I want to do now is curl up,
and begin the eternal addle...

The call from eternal rest is compelling,
I now hear it.
And if the world will not cease its pain,
I will soon feel it...
