This world is a dream. A mirage. What is reality? How can we tell what's real and what's not when we can't even tell when we're awake or when we're asleep? What is reality? If you would describe it merely as what we can feel, and touch than reality is merely impulses to the brain. We are not infalible, and reality can be adjusted to to falts in our chemical makeup. Drugs are a good example of this, they alter the chemical signals to the brain which in turn cause the user to see and hear things that aren't really there. Imagine now that our whole world is some chemically induced hallucination. Brought on maybe by some superior beings will. Would you be able to tell that it wasn't real? The answer is no. What if we are all a figment of a superior beings imagination? What if this was all a dream? What if all we do, from fooling around on this website, to getting a job, to retirement or spending time with our loved ones was totally pointless? The fact is that we don't know any of this. So we go on with our lives, not really living. We are humans, survival of the fittest no longer applies to us. The idea that Darwin discovered on his trip to the galopogos no longer applies. So we keep on living without actually living. The fact that we don't know the date and time of our demise prevents us from really living. ironic isn't it? Some of us are even impervious to the idea that we will eventually die, and that we can die at any instant. They think that they will die of old age years from now, when they could drop dead any second. And since we don't realize this, we continue to drink our glass of water without really tasting it, to live without really living.
