All of you who havn't seen the anime Death Note yet, you need to go to youtube.com and watch it RIGHT NOW! It's THE best show I've ever seen in my life.
For those of you who have seen the show, I'm having such a hard time choosing between L and Light! I go on Death Note boards and that's one of the first questions they ask me and I never have an answer. I'm in two minds about Light: the first is that what he is doing is too harsh. I mean, KILLING criminals? It seems a bit...extreme. I know they're criminals and probably deserve it, but it still seems wrong. Plus, he's a bit of an ego-maniac with the whole "I will be the God of the world" crap.
On the other hand, I think that what he is doing is the only way to get through to the human race and teach them that we should stop doing bad things. Humans are pretty thick; the only way to get through to them would be to do something extreme, like killing all of the people that do bad things. If Light only punished criminals, I doubt everyone else would stop doing crimes.
And I can't go against L because he is just so ADORABLE!! At the beginning, I was pro-Light but after I saw L I couldn't hate him. I guess I just got sucked in by those big eyes. sweatdrop
The rest of the show is great too! Both L and Light are geniuses! Some of the stuff they did in the show blew my mind and even now, several weeks after I started watching the show, I still can't believe the writers thought up some of the plots of the episodes. They're geniuses too!
