okay...so just about all my friends (or anyone who reads my profile) know that i love to poke penguins....this saturday, i got to do just that. I helped Tom feed the penguins (he was recently featured on a show called "Dirty Jobs" (his episdoe will appear on the 29th or th 30th again)....anywho, i had the time of my life...a fish landed on a penguin's back, Tom cracked up laughing, and i got penguin juice in my mouth....yes, penguin juice...a mixture of their water, feces, fish, and god knows what else....i was charting down the names of the penguins that Tom called out, so that we can make sure all penguins are eating the right amount of fish when Huey (an african black-footed penguin) hopped behind me. anyone who has a penguin 4 inches behind them will look at it, of course, and i was about to say something to Tom with my mouth open, looking at Huey....then Huey shook...and BLECK!!!! penguin juice in my mouth and all Tom could do was ask, "Did he spray guano at you?" (guano=poop) and i shook my head, gagging...Huey got two more fish and jumped into the water...and that was that...but still, how many people can say that they have tasted penguin without killing it? not that many i bet (and hope) so go to your friends and say, " I know someone who tasted penguin juice!" and see how they react, personally, my parents flipped.
