I just hope they don’t find me.

That night, I had a dream. Not a dream, but a nightmare.
I was running through the forest behind my sensei. They had come for me. My two teammates had fallen behind, hoping to slow the enemy down. I knew it was no use. Even if they were slowed down, that wouldn’t stop them from coming after me. I stared up at my sensei. He had tried everything to defend me, from them. He had lost everything trying to. He had given me so much, and I had given him so little. I couldn’t take. I stopped. I turned around and ran back. I didn’t even hear my sensei call out for.

I landed in the clearing where my teammates body’s laid. They were barely alive. I went to work on healing them. I started on the second one, when I felt eyes on my back. I looked around. I pulled my weapons out preparing for a battle. I was surrounded. One of my teammates who had regain some conscious grabbed my leg. He looked up at me with tire weaken eyes. "Run… run… Zeta… don’t let them catch you… run…" A kunai flew from the brushes and hit him in the back. I screamed at the sight of my teammate dying… still holding onto to my leg.

I sat up in a cold sweat. I was still in the hospital… a nightmare from the past came to me. A reminder of why I was running. Why I was traveling. I wept for the first time in months. "Jin…."
