With the knowledge of a hundred worlds, the unicorn decided it was finally time to bring Eva back to the place she has always truly belonged, home, to her kingdom. But, in despair, for as they were gone, Eva’s cousin Tim took over as a horrible dictator. Eva’s parents were killed, and it was all because she left.
Eva cried until she felt she could not cry anymore. Then, for the first time in years, the unicorn spoke to her again. “This is not your fault Eva, you’re grown up now, and you can fix this.” Eva wasn’t listening. “I can grant you one wish on my horn, but you have to promise,” the unicorn huffed, “Promise me it will be for the good of this land.” Eva finally looked up, “Is this true, can you really make my wish come true?” “I will try” the majestic beast answered.
Eva wished with all her hope, that she could be queen, that her cousin would return to being a farmer, and that she could have a king by her side. With that, the unicorn’s horn began to glow and thunder banged above them. Lightening struck the castle and hit Tim, ridding him of all the fine clothing and jewelry he had bought using stolen money. The Lightening also struck Eva, giving her a crown, and finally, the lightening stuck the unicorn itself, turning him into a prince.
Her wish came true! The people of the kingdom leaped with joy! “Our princess has returned!” they cheered. “I knew you could do it Eva!” the unicorn prince exclaimed.Tim was back to being a farmer without any idea of what happened. Eva found out that you shouldn’t believe everything you hear, and that running away doesn’t solve anything, but most of all, she found out that the world is full of mysteries that you can only find with ribbons of light flowing in the wind. Eva fell deeply in love with the prince for being so kind to her. They got married, became the best monarchs in the world, and lived happily ever after.
