Red,
the color to end all colors.
Black,
the death of all colors...

Why must I continue to fail my friends?
Doomed to see them in the end,
but not able to help them.
I fear that one day when all is said and done,
I am the last thing they see,
but I am doomed to never come...

Last night I could hear gates opening,
a voice beckoning me to come.
There frightening part of it was,
that the color of the gates were none...

Looking around the contrast,
it was the one that I sought.
Cloud-filled heavens with sunlight,
but the gates were not bright...

The voice continued to beckon me,
from a source unseen.
I turned my back on it,
as others have seen...

I looked down on the Earth below,
watching countries pass by.
It looks so beautifull,
as I watched days go by...

Why would people want to harm each other?
On such a beautiful peice of rock?
The colors constantly mixing and molding,
like the oceans on a beach of rock...

I cast on look over my shoulder,
the gates closing behind me.
"Down there is where they need me,
"no matter the pain it will bring me..."

And so I fall back down toward the earth,
my dark wings spreading to catch me.
For no many how many times I may fail,
I have friends that will guide me...

And in the end,
when all is said and done.
At no thought to the cost,
I may have only helped one...
