The worst thing happened to my friend a few days ago. His house caught fire and he lost everything. Plus 4 of their dogs and 3 cats died in the fire, 2 dogs and 3 cats made it out because when my friend saw the fire (coming home from school) he smashed his window (couldn't get through the door b/c of fire,) and opened his bedroom door and the animals that lived ran out the window (window was on ground floor so there wasn't any heights involved.) My friend burned his arm a little when entering into his room but he's fine.
Him, his mom, sister and brother are now living in a lodge donated to them along with food and clothes donated from their church, but they have nothing else. They've lost their father last year to cancer and his ashes were in the living room when the fire struck..... they found the smashed urn after the fire was out.
The reason they need hep right now is b/c they figured out they don't have any homeowners' insurance so they can't rebuild just yet but with donations they hopefully will eventually.
