Okay, I just saw Pan's Labyrinth the other day and I have a few things to say about it. Just as a lil note, none of my comments are made to turn you away from this movie. It was awesome movie (though do NOT go to it if you can't stand the sight of blood) and anyone who is not squemish should definitely see it.

First of all, it's in Spanish. Not that that made much of a difference during the movie (since it had subtitles and all) but they seriously need to warn a person about something like that before they walk in the theater and hear some dude blabbering on in a language you don't even know.

Second of all, it had TOO MUCH VIOLENCE. Throughout the movie, you see dozens of people get killed IN DETAIL. One guy was beat to death with a gun and they kept on zooming up on his head as it got bloodier and bloodier. Nobody wants to see that, so why did they show it? Plus, this chick shoved a knife in a guys mouth and then moved it from side to side, causing these huge cut on either side of his mouth (it was funny, though, when afterwards he drank some whisky and it went throught he cut and into the bandage he put on it; he's such a dumbass xp )

Third, the fawn in it was a RAPIST. My sis disagrees with this, but I can't help but find it true. He tells the main lil girl chick that she's a princess and that she has to do these tasks and blah blah blah. Anyway, when she sees him for the second time, he points at this statue that has a fawn, a lil girl, and a baby in it. He says he's the fawn and she's the lil girl. When she asks who the baby is, he changes the subject rather quickly. Now, doesnt that make you think that the fawn is gonna sex her up and she's gonna have his baby? I immediatly flashed to that. Afterwards, when he's talking to her, he's stroking her face and calling her "Princess" in a weird, rapist kind of way. He didn't rape her in the movie, but he's still a rapist!!

Fourth, the main evil dude didn't die quickly enough. I mean, he was stabbed in the back, stabbed in the heart, stabbed in the mouth (as I said before), drank about half a bottle of a sleeping potion thing, ran out into open battle, and got shot in his head before he finally died.

Okay, this one isn't a complaint but something funny my mom pointed out. At the end, the lil girl dies and she goes to this heavony place where she sees her dad (the King) and her mom (The Queen) and they're sitting on these freakishly high thrones. I mean, they were like twenty feet high! Her dad said "Oh, your finally her princess. Sit on your throne beside me." Now, after the girl sees her throne (which is equally high up) she just kind of stands there. Well, my mom blurted out (rather loudly too, so that everyone in the theater could hear her) "She's not going to the throne cuz it's too high up! How's she gonna get up there? Are the lil fairie people gonna pick her up or something?"

Also, another funny moment was when this evil monster dude was chasing after the girl. His eyes were in the palms of his hands (not like he was holding them, they were actually IN his hand, as if his eye sockets were in his hands) and so when he was running after her, he put his hands in front of his head to see and he looked VERY silly.
