This is stupid now... well, as most of you people know, I am a poet and I LOVE to write my own poems... so now in school, in language arts, we're in the poetry unit and as soon as i found that out, i thought "I"m gonna like this.." and now, i just don't because I don't like the poems that we have to write...
First, we have to do something called "Slam Poetry" and it sounded pathetic at first, and now that i know what it is... it really is pathetic to me. The only poetry i like to write are haikus, acrostic/rhyming, haiku/rhyming, and just regular 4 verse rhyming...
This is stupid now because we have to know what the "elements of poetry" are and i don't like this crap... I like putting what i want in my own poems... i'm a poet... and this is a free country... soon my class is gonna start writing this so called "poetry" but i know that i'm not gonna get alot of credit because the poems that i write don't have what "seventh grade ciriculum" poems are supposed to have... whatever... i write mine the way i want to and no one is allowed to change what i write... scream
