An Interesting Conversation. |

"One imagining was to be a simple, one-celled creature, in some distant place, where I am part of a chain that keeps amazing creatures alive. Creatures that I can't imagine nor describe, because I can only imagine what I know, even if it's only a blend of those known things. To have a feeling that I am truly part of something larger and better than myself."
"The only other imagining is rather odd. It might have been interesting to have been born a sentient being of another shape, another mind, that might have had a purpose in living that I could never find here. Someplace completely different, maybe even beyond feeling, thought, time, space. Completely detached from anything I know now."
"But, would that really change anything? Would being someplace different eliminate doubt, and the strive for something even better than that? I think that maybe what you would have there, might be very similar to what you could have on Earth, because happiness and security doesn't come from where, who, or what you are. It comes from within. And human beings are just too adjusted to having objects and situations give them happiness, when it's really there all along."
Just a few excerpts from a conversation I had with a good friend of mine. We stayed up into the wee hours of the morn' talking about different topics, whether they spawned from others before them or just came out of the "blue".
Cayley, thank you so much for all of your insights and thoughts, as well as your responses to my strange imaginings. It made me feel one hell of alot better, and I thank you now; lots, and lots, and lots! Whenever I read certain parts of that conversation, I get a sudden nearly overwhelming urge to cry. That may sound strange, and though I was overtired when we had that conversation, I still feel greatly touched by some of your advice.
<3 Doomo arigato, Cay-chan! :3
