Since Christmas, there really hasn’t been much worth writing about. I had a wonderful Christmas, though, in case you’re wondering. And yes, I have the greatest boyfriend in the world. Hey, he isn’t perfect, but then again neither am I, so why complain, right?
Anyways, the main reason I thought to write this entry was simply to do some promoting. I love Studio Ghibli, I honestly do, all the movies I have seen are absolutely fabulous. Totoro and Howl’s Moving Castle were my favorites, but then I got The Cat Returns.
O.M.G. It’s better than Totoro. Better than Howl. And way better than Princess Mononoke. I laughed all the way through it, it is so cute and so funny. Anne Hathaway and Cary Elwes do such fabulous jobs (as if you would expect any less from two such wonderful actors), and the Baron is SO cool! I love the scene where he asks her to dance and he’s wearing that masquerade mask. You have to love a guy in a mask, it’s just cool. I loved this movie, it combined all my favorite actor personalities. This is by far one of my favorite movies, kicks the pants off of all those others. GO WATCH THE CAT RETURNS!!!!

The next subject of discussion is the TV series known as The Get Backers. At first, I didn’t really pay it much attention. I’d never heard of it, everyone I asked that came in the store had never heard of it, I’d never read about it or ever seen it listed on anyone else’s profile as one of their favorite series. So why should I watch it? A little info here: I work in a movie store, so we get to ‘rent’ movies that we sell. So, basically every night I check out something form the anime section and take it back the next day, like you would check out a book from the library. Anyways, this season one box set kept bugging me, like I just needed to watch it, but I really had no interest in it because I didn’t so much as have a clue about it and the summary on the back sounded far from interesting. Finally one day, night before last actually, I finally broke down and checked it out for the sake of having checked it out just to see how bad or good it was so at least then it would stop bothering me, right?
O.M.G! I love this show! It’s fantastic! It’s so great and the characters are cool and kick butt. And Akabane! OMG! Akabane! His name is Kurodo Akabane aka Dr. Jackel, and he is smexy. One thing you should know about me: I have a villain complex, and he is so my kind of villainy personality. He isn’t a villain, though he isn’t exactly a good guy either, but he is bad @$$ all the way. Plus, he’s funny. Not even intentionally, it’s more like his interaction with the other characters that is so funny. It cracks me up. Another thing about me: If you can make me laugh, I will love you for life.
My wonderful boyfriend was sweet enough to by me the boxset of season one, and promised to buy me season two whenever it comes into the store, which should be like in a week or two. ^_^ *happy dance all over the place*
