There are some things I simply do not understand. Like, why certain anime series are popular. Go figure on this one. And if you are a fan of any of the series I mention in this entry, you have my apologies in advance, it was not my intention to offend you.
Love Hina. It isn’t funny. It just isn’t. It’s the same old story line that simply keeps getting recycled over and over again. Tenchi Muyo. DearS. Girls Bravo. I could go on, but it’s after midnight and I’m rather tired.
Though Tenchi was, in fact, a great and funny series.
Super Gals. No plot line whatsoever. None. I watch it and I suddenly feel as though I’m back in high school, what with girls yelling ‘scank a** b***h!’ every five seconds. Yep, definitely feel like I’m back in high school. Though, granted, I do admit to owning the first season on dvd. I couldn’t help it, despite the fact that the story line sucks, the composition of the art is very well done.
Princess Mononoke. The movie was crap, let’s just admit it. It sucked. Everything about it. I hated it. Tried to like it. Couldn’t. But I didn’t honestly try, so you’ve got to give me some credit.
Why do people make crappy movies? And worse yet, why do people watch them? And even worse than that, they like the crappy movies!! It’s a crime, a shame, a SIN!
Inuyasha. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great series, and I love Sesshomaru dearly, but it’s Dragon Ball Z for girls. The plot line merely keeps repeating itself and is never going to be resolved. Fans should know this from Rumiko’s previous works *cough*ranma1/2*cough*.
Dragon Ball Z. Enough said. I withhold all other comments.
And, yes, I just went there.
Coyote Ragtime Show. Granted, I love the Twelve Sisters. They kick so much butt, it’s awesome, but they are about the show’s only redeeming feature. CRS is such a Cowboy Bebop/ Outlaw Star wannabe it’s sad, and yet, the show lacks the charm of both shows, portraying it’s self as merely a half-baked copy.
