My so called life
Job jobjobjobjobjobjob...POSSIBILITIES?
Hey friend... I've been pretty busy lately.

Well Sunday I worked 9 hours straight. I knew I was going to be busy for the rest of the week. Alas David and I were planning on seeing Shawn of the Dead then but it got to late.

So we decided to try to see it on Monday with Monica since we were seeing her thought that she could use a day out. It turned out she already had made some cookies for then and David mentioned that he hasn't seen Pete's Dragon in a while. So here we are watching the good old movie and enjoying cookies and tea.

We also ended up going to the mall for a while atleast get her out of the house since she's been married. Then we had to book it cause I had to go to work.

I also went to a workshop that day about job fairs ... how to ace them.. came up with a 30 second pitch too.

*ahem*
Hi my name is Kerana the Foxgirl
I recently graduated from GMU
with a BA and a minor in IT

I'm an honest, creative individual that is very atentative to detail.
I've been on the Dean's list 4 times, earned the Girl Scout Gold Award and am a Part-time TA here at GMU that helps students learn Office, Macromedia and Photoshop.

Something along those lines.

On Tuesday and Wednesday I went to the job fair and man was I beat afterwards. I ran into a good ol friend of mine, Preston... we met in our freshman year at GMU.

Later Wednesday night I got an e-mail from a company that was not at the job fair ironically enough. Who was looking for some one to fill the position of Graphic Design I immediately jumped at the opportunity after finding out it was in Reston. It totally looked like something I can handle. So I immediately sent them my resume.

Thursday came an early but wonderful awakening by a phone call from the company that sent the e-mail the night before. This is nuts! I thought to myself as I answered the questions the lady asked. She wanted me to slightly modify my resume so that all the companies I worked for are listed.

After sending it I noticed an email from my friend Preston... it turns out he ran into a friend that knew someone else that was looking for a web designer. I called him later on after I went to this other workshop on writing cover letters and thank you letters.

Then sent the guy my resume.

Then I touched base with one of the people I met at the Job fair he also showed me what he would like for the graphic designers to work on.

That is pretty much my week so far... filled with job possibilities now. I'll let you know if I score an interview or for that matter a job.

Untill tomorrow Friend.
