I'm not sure how far the anime goes, but this is a definate spoiler for the manga, but I thought I should share it with everyone. And again, this is a MAJOR spoiler!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On Valentines Day I bought the rest of Full Moon O Sagashite and .hack
Volumes 4-7 taught me something about love. In volume 4, Takuto confesses to Mitsuki that he loves her. He disocvered this when he found out that Mitsuki's childhood friend, Eichi, who had told Mitsuki that he loved her the day before he was moved to the U.S. with new foster parents, was dead. I think that Meroko had accepted the fact that Takuto loved Mitsuki soon, even though she loved him, and had told him over 58 times. Takuto realized (I think) before Meroko did that she still loved Izumi, so didn't take her too seriously when she told Takuto.
Well, in volume 7, Takuto and Mitsuki are both hit by Sheldon's (the master, who was also Jonathan) scythe. Mitsuki was late for the concert that she was performing at as Fullmoon.
After the concert, Takuto's shinigami spirit left and Takuto disappeared. This was because of the scythe as well as the fact that Takuto remembered the way he died, which causes shinigami to become ghosts, but the scythe sped it along.
3 years later, at Mitsuki's performance, when she was really 16, she saw Takuto and finally told him that she loved him. They kissed.
Eichi saw this since he had been with Mitsuki ever since he died. But, at this point, he was in the sky. As he saw Mitsuki, tears formed in his eyes and he reached out for her, but then stopped and saw that Mitsuki was happy with Takuto. So he smiled down on them.
What this taught me is that if you love someone, you let them do what makes them happy, even if it doesn't involve you.
When I finished the series, I cried. For many reasons.
A: Because I discovered this.
B: Because seeing Eichi cry was a little sad.
C: Because it was the final volume.
(But it was mostly A and B)
I just felt like sharing this
I skipped many of the key points in volume 1-3 because it would've taken too long. @_@
When I began to think like that, I just smiled at myself and said "Wow, I've never thought of it like that." And so now, I've been EXTREMELY happy lately, a lot more than I have been. But I don't know why. sweatdrop
I just felt like sharing this because...... I don't know.
This is just my opinion, I'm not telling everyone to do this, I just felt like saying it. smile
