Yesterday I had my golf tournament at River Hills Calallan, Texas. Okay, let me start from the beginning...
On Sunday I was planning on going to practice on the Gabe Lazano driving range, but my dad wanted to wait for my mom to get home so we wouldn't have to take my brother with us. Well, she arrived at 6:30pm. Dad said we could go now, but I said, no. I had to go to the St. Patricks Youth Group meeting, and Chris(tina) the administrator was looking forward to me going. (Alright, earlier that day, I had helped with the 8 and 10:30am mass' coffee and donuts, with her. I told her then that I probably wasn't going to make it to the meeting, but she begged me to go. I gave in and agreed.) So, I went to the meeting and came back at 9pm. Then I realized that I didn't get to organize my golf bag. So I sat down and went through my stuff, picking out what I would need to take for the tournament. After that, I cleaned my equipment. I then remembered that I didn't have any snacks to energize me there. So my dad and I went to the store and chose some Balance(C) energy bars. (Trust me, if you ever have to go on a long outdoors activity or exersize for a long time then buy that kind of enery bar. They taste good, unlike most kinds, and give you long lasting energy.) Once I got home it was midnight. So I crawled into bed and fell asleep, right after I had set my alarm for 5am which was an hour before I had to leave for school.
(Dad's point-of-view)He woke up from sleeping on the couch and saw sunlight, and he panicked for he knew I was late. My dad glanced at his watch. It showed 7:15. Damnit! She's late for the bus! he thought. (First off, my dad works morning shifts at his job so he knows that it's dark and early before 7, bright and late after 7.) He ran to my room and shook me awake. "It's after seven, you're late for the tournament."
(My POV)I had a hard trouble sleeping, and had finally fell asleep around 4 in the morn. Something told me that I should have gotten up but I was too tired. I was roughly waken by someone shaking me and yelling. "It's after seven, you're late for the tournament," the voice, whom belonged to dad, said. I jumped out of bed fully dressed. During the night, before I fell asleep, I had decided to change into my outfit just incase I would get up a little late. And it's a damn good thing I did. "We can still drive over there. I'm not going to let my team down, even though I'm the worst player on it," I growled. I quickly finished getting ready in 5 minutes, while dad was still changing into his clothes. "Hurry up dad, please!" I begged. Slapping my hat onto my head and grabbing my golf bag, I ran out the door and tossed my bag into the van. Waiting impatiently, I tapped my foot until my dad came out and started the car. I jumped in and we were off to River Hills Calallan.
There really isn't much to say about playing the tournament. The tournament lasted from 9am to 3pm, six hours. I got dehydrated, tired from walking, and was very very hungry. Though I didn't do any good on there. Coach says I scored a 135 but I say I scored a 125, so we don't know who's right. When I got home, I felt really weak. I kept colapsing so my seven year old brother constantly was helping me up. In the end I decided that I'd stay by the computer.
So that's really how my day went. Felt horrible, but did it for the team. Go Ray Texans!!
