I'm working on a fma/DNAngel fanfic. This is the first chapter...
Chapter one The real first meeting of two Military Alchemists A girl sat on the stoop of an apartment complex, a tear lining her cheek. The building was old, the blue paint peeling off the half caved in and destroyed walls. She was alone with the exception of red painted lines that marked her skin. “Stop! Please… make the pain go away!” she yelled, more tears streaming from her eyes. A dark figure stood in the shadow behind the lit street light. He wasn’t very tall but he stood strong as if he knew the danger of these streets at night. Another figure walked up behind him, not any taller. They looked at each other and stepped into the light, the little girl now looking at them. There was only about an inch worth of height difference between the two. The taller one had semi spiked hair while the others hair was in bangs pulled right off to the side of his eyes. They both had dirty blonde hair. The shorter one wore a pair of white shorts and a red shirt over a black shirt. The other wore a blue tinted white shirt and a pair of similar shorts. They smiled at each other then looked over to the girl. “Hey… you going to cry all this time away??” the one in the red asked. She shook her head and swipped her tears away. The three of them were only each around the age of seven. “Who… who are you??” she asked, fear trebling her words. “We’re just locals… what about you?” the boy asked again. “I’m… why do you care?????” she demanded quickly, not wanting to answer anything to a couple of strangers who could be her enemies. “We’re just like you… relax… it’s not like we’ll tell anyone.” The two boys answered simply. “Then tell me your names! I shouldn’t tell you anything if you don’t say anything either.” “I’m Edward and that’s Alphonse. Why are you so scared of us?” The one in the red shirt asked softly. He introduced himself and his brother next to him calmly as if the girls strictness was nothing different from the usual. “Ed… and… Al?” she muttered softly, looking at their faces to memorize them. “I’m… I just don’t trust people that much anymore, okay?!” Ed smiled at her. “It’s fine but, as equal exchange, shouldn’t you tell us your name too?” “I’m… Anna…” she answered softly. “Why do you say equal exchange though? Shouldn’t it be said as ‘fair exchange’?” “Not when you’re talking about what we are, Anna-chan.” Ed answered softly. He smiled at her. “You know, your name has a real pretty ring to it, Anna-chan.” Anna glared at him. “I’m not ‘Anna-chan’, I’m Anna! Just Anna!” she yelled. “Okay, Anna-chan.” Ed said tauntingly. He smiled at her and took off running quickly. “Brother… what if she’s mad??” Al asked softly, running along behind him. Anna chased after them quickly, her hair flying back behind her. It reached the middle of her back. She wore a torn blue jean skirt and a black tank top, a small white jacket covering part of it although the sleeves were torn to short sleeves. “I’m not Anna-chan!” They raced for a long time until they reached a large house, another girl standing on the porch flashing a light on and off. “Ed, Al!!!” she called, seeing the two running up the hill to the house. “Hurry Winry, let us in before the girl chasing us catches up!” they yelled playfully. Anna came bounding up the hill quickly behind them. “Ed, Al! I’m not Anna-chan!” she continued to yell. They smiled and ran even faster, smiling playfully as they went along giggling and having a good time.
