Chapter two Remembering in the wrong place It had been years since that day, playful frolic at eight at night. They hadn’t even known each other and yet they had enjoyed themselves. IT was a memory that still pained Anna now and again. She sat in a cab as it drove to central head quarters. She was now 15, taller and more shapely then she had been at the time. She held a book in her hand although it was small and somewhat raged. The leather cover was torn to shreds but she read on anyways, seemingly enjoying what she read. Unfortunately, her time on memory lane had to be cut short. The cab pulled to a stop hurriedly, screeching to a halt a few feet away from some interesting characters. One was a short boy, maybe 4’10, a max of five feet; behind him stood a suit of armor, the eyes glowing to suggest that someone was in it. Anna looked at them. They apposed a street man, his clothes ratted and out of date by centuries. He had a pleading look in his eyes but something else was in his hand, a silver watch. As soon as Anna could see the chain of the watch, the guy took off, the boy taking a few steps to chase him but shaking his head. He nodded to the suit of armor guy to go chase him while he did something else. The boy walked over to the cab Anna was in and opened the door to the driver’s seat. “This is a military transport right?? Catch that thief; he’s got my alchemy watch from the Furher!” Anna looked at him hatefully. “No. Catch him yourself.” She said simply, stepping out of the vehicle and glaring at him. He turned and looked up at her, hatred in his own eyes. “Look, it’s military business miss, you should just let me handle it before you get hurt.” The driver nodded to the boy and stepped out of the car. “Mister Elric, you shouldn’t drive this… you can’t drive.” He then looked up to Anna and smiled. “It’ll be alright Ms. Yusima, here… use these directions to get the rest of the way there… you’ll be fine… I need to drive him…” he stopped though, hearing the roaring engine run off and the boy drive away in the vehicle. Anna giggled softly, trying so hard not to laugh. “It looks like I don’t have a choice but to go run him down, do I??” she asked simply, running up the street after him. “There’s no chance that I’ll catch him but I guess a little alchemy practice won’t hurt…” she muttered. On her right hand was a black glove that laced up her arm. The hand had a print mark of an alchemy symbol on it. She snapped her fingers and sparks ran out in black strands after the car. Right as they touched, she awoke.
