Apart
I walk through this graveyard and picture her face.
The last thing I expected was for her to be in this place.
In my mind her eyes shine on and her smile lasts forever.
A tear falls from my eye to the land on top of her.
I remember the years we laughed and played
and the times when my fears she chased away.
But now my fears grow large and freely
because I have no one to protect me.
Her cold, dead body lies beneath the ground...
not moving, or living, or making a sound.
My young little sister died so quick
as she hung on that pole, I began to get sick.
Her vivid face had lost it's color,
for she had passed from this world onto another.
I loved her so much, if only she had seen...
Now she's gone forever even though she was only a teen.
Goodbye young beauty, goodbye pure heart
Maybe, one day, we'll be together and not apart.
