the sounds replaced by one.
The cold, hard feeling of stone,
left for the one beneath my bare feet.
The trials of life come and go,
wearing away at the soul.
But it is in times like this,
that I am glad I can let go.
If only for this moment,
true there is no one else here.
But this moment allows me to forget about life's pain,
and focuses my mind to what could be.
Ah the tide is wonderful,
the water washing away the sand beneath me.
Come, take my heart and mind with you,
I have only one reason left to be.
And if you would take me that reason would follow me too,
for we long to leave this world of strife,
to be where no pain comes true.
