Chapter 2

As I sat in the croud with the rest of the fifteen year olds I couldn't help but wonder what my life was going to be like. Was I going to be a warrior, a healer, or a base builder. Some people don't mind being base builders but its just not my style. We stared at the stage as the first part of the ceremony began. Each element is special and we use them for many things. One of which is entertainment. My cousin was a member of the fire group, they put on light shows with their fire. Well not exactly just a light show. My cousin is the master of the team because he can do such amazing things with his fire he could be the only member on the team and still he would win the Flame Championship. The lights went down as the Fire Group came onto stage. Two fifteens came onto the stage with their spirit animals,one had a hawk and the other had some sort of a lizard, looking nervous. They held their hands out and looked away. All of a sudden a fire ball flew out of each of their hands. They stuck their fingers out and began to point swirl them. As they did this they fire balls began to spin around. They spelled out the names of those who had died in war as remembrance, then James walked on stage with is fox around his neck. He was the best flamethrower on the team and every one knew it. He held his hands a foot apart from one another and a fire ball spawned in between them and just sat there. He let his left hand fall and held the fire ball in his right hand and held it mid air next to him. The fire ball began to take a form of a human being that looked just like James. The fire man held his hand out to the right and another fire man spawned. Each time another spawned, this proceeded till there were six of them. Then they stood in a circle. James was the first to move, he held his hand out and his fox walked out to stand on his arm, then each of the fire men spawned a fox and it walked out on their arms. James threw the fox in the air and it became engulfed in flames, then the other flames followed. The foxes held in mid-air and each curled into a ball and began to spin, as they spun each got closer to each other until they became on giant spinning ball of fire. Then the ball began to slow down. when its stopped it was just one giant flame fox. James and the other fire men began to get closer to each other. This is my favorite part, you see James has the power over fire and air. James became one giant flame man standing along side his fire fox. In his each of his hands he created little miniature tornadoes. The fire fox sat down on the stage and stuck its nose in the air, the giant flame man placed a tornado on the fire fox's nose, then with the other tornado he retrieved the elemental elder, the elemental elder is the one person in a town entrusted with all of the elements, the tornado placed the elder on top of the other tornado on the fox then the giant flame James blew away and James was carried to the top where he joined the elder and both of them bowed. The flame fox slowly shrunk and the tornado let down James and the elder. It was now time for the choosing. James left the stage as he and his fox gave one last bow. The elder got the microphone and welcomed everyone to this years Ceremony.
