the day before yesterday (i think) 2 of my teachers asked if i knew chinese. my first teacher was my english teacher. and she asked if i knew anybody that spoke chinese. i told her no cuz i didnt really no wat the situation would be. but larissa, a dear friend of mine jumped in and said she knows chinese. u should here her talk to her mom on the fone. so i told my teacher i knew chinese. and i said my sis knew. and this 1 other chinese student but he is not too fluent in it. i also mentioned my mom 2. later that same day my spanish teacher comes up to me and asks me you dont speak chinese do u??? i told her i knew. turns out there is a student in our school there is a student that speaks chinese and doesnt kno a lot of english. so 2day while i was in my 1st block (newspaper) mr michael (freshman counselor) asks me to accompany him to a walk. so i walk outside while he tells my teacher what is going on. turns out i havta take the new student on a tour and show him around campus. but the bad part is he spoke mandarin and im not fluent at mandarin. my first language is cantonese (mandarin and cantonese are different, similar but different. its kinda like spanish and latin spanish) and i picked mandarin through watching various mandarin movies. so i showed him around and tried to strike a conversation w/ him and also trying to explain some rules and things that go on at our school. i thought i did HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!! later when i had 2 talk 2 him and a teacher at the same time...i got my languages confused. lol. it was kinda funny!!!!!!!!!
